Chidham visited Bourne Community College on Tuesday 14th June for Term 3, cycle 1 of the Enthuse Project. The theme for this workshop was ratios.

The children started in Science where they showed their understanding of Acids and Alkalis and then went on to create their own indicator using red cabbage to be able to identify which drink was safe to drink. This led the children in ratio of squash in Math, where they continued with practical work, to determine the best ratio for squash. The children ended the workshop in a team building exercise, by learning different knots and creating a bridge for the students to walk over.

This was a very enjoyable afternoon, of practical’s embedding STEM teaching into practical element for both the students and teachers.
